This technical seminar was a short introduction into the world of parametric design with Grasshopper and McNeel’s Rhinoceros. By understanding the algorithmic logic, a design of a generative facade was created.
The aim of this technical seminar was to understand the interface between the 3D-modelling software Rhinoceros and the plug-in Grasshopper.
The outcome is an architectural facade, which is subdivided into undulating segments. The parameters for the number of segments and their dimensions were defined using Grasshopper. Once the code was created, the main elements were baked in Rhionceros and rendered using the software Cinema 4D.
